Arabist, with a graduate degree in political science, she has taught at Sciences Po Paris and held diplomatic functions in the Near and Middle East, notably in Iraq and Egypt. Also a consultant, in charge for several years of Méroé, an advisory firm on the Arab World, and has published many articles on the region as well as several books, including Égypte, l’envers du décor (2008, La Découverte.)
