  • The image features an artistic composition that includes a series of dark, abstract shapes resembling silhouettes of boats or structures. These shapes are reflected, creating a doubled appearance along a horizontal line. Above them, there is a circular form with soft, pastel colors, which contrasts with the darker elements below. The background appears textured and includes subtle lines or markings, adding to the overall depth of the artwork. The combination of dark and light colors creates a balance, while the reflection enhances the visual interest of the piece. President Sissi’s Egypt trapped in inextricable crises Robert Springborg, Sylvain Cypel · 19 February
  • The image depicts a group of armed soldiers riding in the back of a military truck. They appear to be celebrating or expressing excitement, with some of them raising their arms and displaying gestures. The truck has a camouflage pattern, and the background shows a developing urban area, with construction materials and buildings under construction. The overall scene suggests a military convoy or a display of force. Gulf Countries and Turkey Pitch Against Each Other... in Africa Gérard Prunier · November 2018
  • The image depicts a large, under-construction dam situated in a mountainous landscape. The dam site features extensive concrete structures and machinery, indicating significant engineering work in progress. Surrounding the site, there are vast areas of earth that have been moved or excavated, along with roads and pathways that suggest ongoing construction activity. The landscape is somewhat arid, with sparse vegetation and mountainous terrain in the background. The visibility is limited, possibly due to haze or dust in the atmosphere. Who is Losing the Nile?
