Secularism: Three Questions for Joan W. Scott

According to Joan W. Scott, professor emeritus at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University, and author of The Politics of the veil (Princeton University Press, September 2007), the “nouvelle laïcité” implemented in France since 2003 “completely transforms the notion of secularism.”
